Occupation:Motion Media Editor
I started editing in 1989 after earning a BA from Temple University in TV/Film and then kicking around as a movie projectionist and video store clerk (I kid you not) before starting my editing career. I have a couple Emmy nominations for work I edited, plus have co-produced the wicked fun sustainable lifestyle video series known as SLAW ME (www.slaw.me) since 1998, and I occasionally make experimental videos for my own amusement. I mainly identify as an editor (including finishing work and teaching editing skills), but I co-produced two short videos for the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program earlier this decade. I have worked with PIFVA member David Block to edit his two most recent award-winning documentaries which have gotten a lot of festival play. I edited one of the exhibit videos for the grand opening of the Philadelphia History Museum; a video that was shown in an exhibit at The Philadelphia Art Alliance; one of my experimental videos was shown at the Phila Museum of Art at a screening entitled "Those Who Teach, Make"; I've edited most of the Philadelphia Water Department videos for about a decade and a half - if you attend one of their Rain Check workshops you will see a video I edited; I have worked with the Institute on Disabilities at Temple University to edit most of their videos; I have many local independent, educational and corporate clients.
I also like to make collages, knit scarves & hats (I'm working my way slowly up the knitting complexity chart), ride my bike, grow some flowers, thrift shop and eat local & sustainable. URLs:
